Welcome to Morabito Unplugged

In the Late 70’s and well into the 80’s I was a member in a 12 piece show band, Top Shelf, where I played Trumpet and Rhythm Guitar. Playing songs by Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Tower of Power and many more.

Our first paying gig was the Guard Theater in New London, CT, where we played two shows to a packed house. From there we played clubs like Shaboo, where we opened up for the Fabulous Rhinestones, Agora Ball Room, and Toads Place, where we opened for Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes. When the band split up, I put down the Trumpet and picked up the Acoustic Guitar.

Although I perform as a solo act, I also perform with a variety of seasoned musicians. I am extremely versatile and can cater my sets to appeal to a variety of crowds. Playing songs by Creedence Clear Water Revival, Crosby – Stills – Nash & Young, Darius Rucker , Johnny Cash, Match Box Twenty, Black Crows, Steppenwolf, Eric Clapton and many more. I Curently have put together a group of talanted musicans and form a band called The Mojo Rhodes Band, performing up and down the east coast in venues such as Hard Rock Cafe, Foxwoods Casino ,The Phoenix an many more.
